Digital glossary for business leaders
Twenty terms you meet in a digital project, from the first quote to go-live. Each page gives a one-sentence definition, then explains what the subject changes for a business owner and how the agency handles it.
A
- Acceptance testing (recette)
The phase where the client checks, on a test environment and with real cases, that what was delivered works as agreed before it goes live.
- AI agent
A program that uses an AI model to carry out a task inside your tools, step by step, leaving a trail and stopping where a human has to decide.
- API
An interface that lets two pieces of software exchange data or trigger actions in each other, with no human intervention and no re-entry.
- Automation
The automatic execution of a chain of actions across your tools according to fixed rules, with no human intervention, as soon as a trigger event occurs.
C
- Client portal
An online space where your clients follow their files, upload documents, sign and pay, connected to your internal tools with access rights per file.
- Connector
A ready-made component that links one specific tool (accounting, bank, CRM, advertising, spreadsheet) to another system and pulls its data in.
- Custom business tool
Software built for one specific company, around its rules, its approvals and its vocabulary, rather than picked off the shelf.
- Custom CRM
A sales tracking tool built around a company's real sales cycle, with as little data entry as possible and follow-ups that go out on their own.

- Daily rate (TJM)
The price of one day of work by a consultant or a developer, excluding tax, used as the basis for billing by time spent.
- Digital accessibility (RGAA)
A website's or application's ability to be used by everyone, including with a keyboard or a screen reader, measured in France with the RGAA method.
G
- GDPR applied to a business tool
The personal data rules to respect in software that handles clients, employees or case files: access, retention, individual rights and processors.
- GEO (visibility in AI assistants)
The work that makes a company's pages understandable and citable by ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's generated answers, when a client asks them a question.
H
- Hosting in Europe
The choice to run software and store its data on servers located in the European Union, under European data law.
M
- Management cockpit
A single steering view that brings together a company's vital indicators, fed automatically by its tools and read every morning by leadership.
- MRR (monthly recurring revenue)
The subscription revenue a company collects every month in a predictable way, excluding one-off sales, used to steer a recurring business.
N
- No-code and low-code versus custom software
Tools that let you build an application by visual assembly, with little or no code, as opposed to software developed to order.
P
- Program
The agency's engagement format for a complete system: diagnostic, architecture, then a build in lots delivered every week, from €15,000 excl. VAT.
R
- Reversibility
A company's ability to take back its software, its data and its documentation, and to carry on without its provider, at any time.
