Management cockpit

In one sentence

A single steering view that brings together a company's vital indicators, fed automatically by its tools and read every morning by leadership.

Definition

A management cockpit is a dashboard designed for the person who runs the company: a single view, a small number of indicators, figures that come straight from the company's tools (accounting, bank, CRM, advertising, spreadsheets) with no re-entry.

Two things set it apart from plain reporting: a written, shared definition for each indicator, and an automatic refresh, every morning by default, before the first meeting.

Why it matters to a business owner

A business owner often discovers the real margin several weeks after month end, and walks into the leadership meeting with exports everyone prepared on their own side. The cockpit replaces that routine with a quick read every morning, on figures everyone shares.

It also helps you see things coming. An alert on an overdue case, a tightening cash position or an emptying pipeline shows up before the problem is visible in the accounts.

What Stratedge Consulting does

The agency maps the indicators with you over one week, working back from the decisions you actually make, then connects your tools, builds the view and the alerts, and trains the team. Your software stays in place. See the Cockpits and dashboards page.

The Cockpit Starter, at €3,000 excl. VAT, installs one view and ten indicators with standard connectors in one to two weeks. The full cockpit, with several views, business rules and role-based access, is built as a Program from €20,000 excl. VAT. An interactive demo is available on the site.

Common mistakes

Wanting to show everything. A cockpit that displays every available indicator no longer surfaces anything; keep only the figures someone acts on.

Plugging views into data nobody has cleaned. A dashboard on contradictory data produces meetings about the right number instead of decisions. The data foundation is built before the screens.
